Energy dashboards have become a common trend in the green building industry. Building owners and facility managers are pushing to educate about sustainable practices, energy reduction measures, and influence behavior change. However, building owners are being pushed into solutions that are overkill, basically just an extension of information the building control system provides, and are very expensive.
QA Graphics’ Energy Efficiency Education Dashboard® (EEED) is an award winning solution and has remained a leader for over seven years focusing on the education of sustainability. With our EEED in over 800 buildings worldwide, we have a great understanding and have become industry-leaders.
Building owners using our dashboards have given us the following feedback for why they
selected our dashboards over all other competitors.
“The EEED is a custom application that took the sustainability story of our building and made it into an amazing educational interactive application. Any data can be inputted into the dashboard, regardless if is metered or manually entered. That data shows up on a gauge and historically on graphs. We use that data to continually educate our students as to how we are operating and how the school is trying to reduce our carbon footprint, as well as change the everyday behavior of students and faculty.”
“The fact that the EEED can be administered on our own network gave QA Graphics a distinct advantage over all the other dashboards on the market. With others, they wanted to run the dashboards in the cloud (SaaS), charging us monthly fees and creating a security breech in our network. The other huge factor was the data collected from our building is owned by us. The other large dashboard companies wanted us to pay for the data if we needed it at a later date.”
“QA Graphics EEED allowed us to do a 3D photo realistic virtual walk through of our new sustainable engineering building. At different stopping points during the walk-through we have equipment with live data displayed directly from our building automation system. Additionally, we have over 1000 data points being pulled into the dashboard from our other campus buildings. The energy intensity metric, kWh/ft2, is being used on a building comparison chart for a monthly competition. We did a yearlong study of all companies in the US who offered energy dashboards, and without question, the QA Graphics’ EEED made the decision easy from a price, product longevity, interaction, and overall capability standpoint.”
The Energy Efficiency Education Dashboard® (EEED) is typically displayed on a kiosk, desktop, tablet, or mobile device within your building’s network or through the Internet if you choose. Sharing the interactive application on a display in a common area, on the web, or on mobile devices have never been easier.
It raises occupancy awareness through the display of building performance data, demonstrations of sustainable building features, tips on how to be efficient and other educational features. To illustrate building performance, the energy dashboard communicates with the building automation system (BAS) or other devices to display the data in a way that’s easy to understand. Companies can display any data in the building automation system (energy, water, gas, steam, PV, wind, etc.).
The Energy Efficiency Education Dashboard is ideal for any organization to educate about their green building features and energy efficiency practices. Dashboards are used by schools, universities, businesses, healthcare facilities, data centers, retail and many more. Engage occupants with the sustainable education anywhere, anytime.
